Letters of Objection Vol. 2
It is here!
The Canterbury Christ Church University Creative Writing Society’s newest publication, Letters of Objection Vol. 2 is now available for purchase on Amazon in paperback and Kindle.
Letters of Objection Vol. 2 is the second in the series of a collection of letters written from the perspective of everyday objects. This carries on from the premise of the first book, Letters of Objection, which was released just over a year ago, and also available for purchase on Amazon and Createspace e-stores.
The exercise main aim is to allow the members to explore different avenues of thought of the world around them, through the objects that live alongside them, often overlooked and taken for granted by those that use and observe them. The idea that an object such as the ones written about in the book is a different concept to that of most peoples thought process, but if those same objects could talk, and indeed write a letter to something or someone else, what would it say about the its life and how it lives?
The idea behind this was to primarily prove that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. The letters were written within one session of the Creative Writing Society, and along with some minor editing from myself, and making sure the letters were presented in the book in such a way that befitted the letters. The other premise is to demonstrate the Society members creativity to a wider audience than they are normally used to. Such was the popularity of the first book, and the creativity demonstrated from members last year, that this sequel was realised.
Letters of Objection Vol. 2, just as the first book, has been self published via Createspace, an Amazon company, which allows for writers to follow their guided experience of seeing their work in print and available for general consumption on Amazon. The Creative Writing Society are the proud contributors to 3 other titles self-published in a similar manner. This is to demonstrate to the Society members that their work is great, and is also good enough to be published and seen by all that wish to pursue it. It also adds an extra dynamic onto their university credentials that demonstrates their creativity and shows that their achievements in the course of their university degree have lain beyond that of their course requirements and the grades they have achieved.
The Creative Writing Society at Canterbury Christ Church University have created and contributed to some amazing work over the last few years, none the least as aforementioned, the collection of self published books that have been released with their amazing work. These are also available on Amazon, and can be found here:

We hope that you enjoy these as much as we have enjoyed writing them. Our hope and desire to share our work with the world. The price-tag is not for our own benefit, more a requirement that Amazon needs in order to publish our work. Words can make the world a better place, and writing those words from the viewpoint of objects that see the world differently from ourselves can help us understand the world, and ourselves, in better and clearer light.
I leave you with the quote from Letters of Objection Vol. 2 as a taste of what is contained, and as a gift for taking the time to read about us.
